Return of the Hogwarts Express
Chapter 1
As a familiar train with the words “Hogwarts Express” in gold letters rolled onto the platform a large family were crowded around Platform 9 3/4 of Kings Cross Station. It was the 19th of December and the start of the Christmas holidays.
Louisa Weasley was sporting an unusually bright, and very festive red hair colouring, with shades of glitter thrown in for good measure as opposed to her usual purple hair. Charlie and son Bertie Weasley stood beaming with a crop of ginger hair along with a group of other, the Malfoys were glowing in the usual platinum blonde, as were the Weasley-Delacour’s and Teddy was in a very bright blue.
What were we all doing? Well, the answer is waiting. Waiting for our children to return home. The Granger-Weasleys, Potters, Snape-Weasleys, Weasleys, Malfoys… So many kids so little time, James, Albus, Lily, Sevie, Fred II, Hugo, Scorpius and Rose.
And yet, there we were all holding the banner that said “Welcome Home”. I admit I couldn’t contain my excitement in seeing my daughter again. Bertie was running up and down the platform, eager to see his sister again. Charlie couldn’t keep it in either. I think it happens to everyone, Ginny told me it did. It felt as though Gryffindor Tower was pretty much made up of our family now. With Albus and Scorpius in the dungeons below.
“MUM!!! MUM!!!” Came a voice from the other end of the platform
“I can see it!!! The train!!! It’s coming” He was right of course a huge puff of smoke came over the bridge and through the tunnel.
“Uncle Draco!!! Look they’re here!!!” I took his hand I could see the colour come back to his cheeks. It had been a while since he had looked healthy and happy. Christmas at the Malfoys would do them well.
