The Forbidden Forest
Chapter 5
It was in the middle of the night, and Evelyn crept out of bed. "Lumos," she muttered. By the light of the wand, she could see where her clothes were, and she pulled them on. She grabbed her bag, and clutched her wand. She felt nervous. She was actually going to do this. Out of the common room she went, and then she was in darkness, standing on a corridor, alone. But she swallowed, and crept down the corridor. She finally reached the statue, 'Gregory the Smarmy'. (A passageway was there, and it led outside of Hogwarts.) There was a secret passageway there, but you could not see it clearly, because it was very dark. Evelyn had only noticed it because she had accidentally stumbled into it, and Evelyn liked to explore Hogwarts. It was her favourite thing to do during the day. So Evelyn walked down it. There were no torches or anything, the only light was from her wand. The passageway was quite a long one, and down, down she went. Then it suddenly veered right, and then the passageway was straight. Evelyn was sure that the dungeons were below her. Then she went down low, suddenly, and then up, until she came to the end of the passageway. She ran out of it, thankfully, and then she was outside of Hogwarts! She looked up at the towering castle and gasped. She had never seen Hogwarts castle from the outside when it was dark, and it was beautiful and wonderful now. Thankfully, there was a full moon, so that gave her more light.
Evelyn swallowed again, and then walked into the Forbidden Forest. It was so dark in there, and the trees were so close together so that the light of the moon couldn't even shine through! She shivered, it was very cold in there, and now she wished she should've brought her warm fluffy coat. Deeper and deeper she went into the Forest and darker and darker it became. She started to wish that she had let James come, but she tried to think, confidently, It's probably best that he didn't come. Yeah, I think its... CRACK! Evelyn whipped around, nerve overtaking her. She raised her wand. Something was coming towards her.
