Wand Flexibility

Chapter 10

Generally speaking, how rigid or flexible your wand is can tell you how strong your spells will be and how easy it is to cast them. The more rigid the wand, the stronger the spells, but the more difficult it is to learn and cast them.

If your wand is described as whippy, then they learn spells the quickest, though they are generally less powerful than more rigid wands.

Wands that are swishy take a little more effort to teach, and are therefore just a little more powerful.

Flexible wands are rather rare, are harder to teach, but have average spell power abilities.

Springy wands are the most common. They learn spells rather easily with average spell power.

Sturdy wands are less common than springy ones. They take more effort to teach, but have a little more power.

Inflexible wands are rare. They are difficult to teach, and are powerful, but not overly so.

Rigid wands are easily the most powerful wands and the hardest to teach. They are also known as unyielding.

Special case wands include delicate and feisty ones.

Delicate wands need special care, and often choose frailer witches and wizards. Once a spell is learned, they tend to be less strong, but far more reliable.

Feisty wands aren't stiff, but they aren't flexible either. They have more of a mind than other wands, and often add power to spells than the witch or wizard might want.
