Guide to the Multiverse

The Multiverse

   The Multiverse is made up of many universes, as the name MULTIverse implies. While this guide claims to be a guide to the Multiverse, it is in fact only a guide to a few verses, for no book could ever contain all the information on all the verses, since there is an infinite number of verses in the Multiverse.

   The information in this guide is mainly focused on two verses, which I have called the Sigma and Omega verses. If you are reading this book, chances are that you are from the Sigmaverse, though if you are not from this universe then it is just as well. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept of the Sigma and Omega verses, a short summary of each follows.

The Sigmaverse

   The Sigmaverse is my home universe, where I was born and where I lived the first thirty years of my life. Here there are five dominant species; the Protohumans, the Winged Humans, the Agreel, the Draconians, and the Timelords. It used to be that the five races avoided each other, only coming into contact when one or the other had a dispute over star systems. This of course excluded the Protohumans and Winged Humans, whom came from the same species and thus had a unified society. 

   The reclusion of the races ended when a Timelord titled The Other returned to Gallifrey after millennia of being trapped in a time stasis, caused by his TARDIS exploding within a black hole. He became the new President of Gallifrey, and in the years of his reign he reformed Gallifreyan society. The Timelords, previously reluctant to interact with the rest of the universe, were prompted into taking a more active role. After the Timelords came of of their reclusion, the other four races soon followed. Eventually, the five races formed a brand new, unified society called the Universal Alliance, the UA for short. 

   While there are still things the races are reluctant to share with each other, such as the Timelords with their TARDISes and the Protohumans with their knowledge of species creation, the Sigmaverse is much more unified and open than it was millenia ago. To this day, the Sigmaverse is still evolving, with the UA expanding it's territory  to more galaxies and the knowledge of universe travel slowly becoming more well known and understood.

The Omegaverse

   The Omegaverse is the second verse this guide will focus on. I have lived in the Omegaverse for roughly half of my life, and in that time I have learned just how different it is from our universe. And let me tell you, our two universes couldn't be further opposites if they tried.

   The Omegaverse only has one dominant species; Humans. There are Protohumans and Winged Humans included in this category, but there was never enough Winged Humans to make their own category, so the species name remained Humans. In this universe, the Humans ended up being much greedier than the Protohumans and Winged Humans of the Sigmaverse. In their building of an empire, called the Great and Bountiful Human Empire, the Humans took over the planet Rhea, halting development of Agreelian society. They butted heads with the Draconians, and while at first it seemed the Humans found their match in terms of large empires, the Draconian empire eventually shrunk. There is also a distinct lack of Timelord presence in the Omegaverse; the entire species, save a handful of individuals, was wiped out by a mutated race called the Daleks.

   While the Omegaverse may sounds horrible, it has things that we do not see here in the Sigmaverse. Due to the Great and Bountiful Human empire stretching across an entire galaxy, there is a blend of culture and art there that incorporates elements from a larger area than would be possible in the Sigmaverse. There is also more religion there; more than two thirds of the Omegaverse practices some sort of religion. There are also nearly twice as many religions to practice there compared to here. And while this bears little significance to the identity of the Omegaverse, though I think it is still worth mentioning, the Omegaverse grows a fruit, called pears, that I have not seen from any other universe as of yet. If you ever happen to travel to the Omegaverse, I would recommend trying a pear. They are very delicious.
