The Floating Charm & The Severing Charm
Chapter 9
The Floating Charm
Incantation: Fluito (floo - EE - toe)
Wand Movement: Jab then upward flick
Willpower: High to very high depending on weight and distance of target
Concentration: Moderate; should be maintained on target object
This spell makes the object go a bit from the ground. Unlike the Rocket Charm, this spell involves controlled vertical movement. This spell was useful for witches and wizards, for they used this spell to lift up heavy objects they could not to see if anything was underneath that object.
The Severing Charm
Incantation: Diffindo (deef -IN - doe)
Wand Movement: V shaped up and down, ending with a swish in the direction to take
Willpower: Low
Concentration: Moderate; the place to cut and the depth of the slice
The Severing Charm was invented by Delfina Crimp in the 1400s, allows the caster to precisely cut the target they are focused upon. The caster should finish saying the incantation while performing a swish in the direction to cut. Please be careful while casting this spell, for you might slice to deep or cut the wrong part. Thank you!
