Slytherin house has always been portrayed as cunning and underhanded, sometimes downright evil. In a world where righteousness and honour is considered important, Slytherins are often the rebellious sort, who don't play by the rules and would stoop to anything to get what they want.

But, this does not make them bad, this has just made them the kind of people who tend to think of themselves as cool when not following rules, moody, funny, and also really good people to be around with (if you don't mess with them). We today, are stunned by the amount of effort they put in to get what they want t achieve, even if it doesn't show.
