Floo Powder
Chapter 1
*Before you begin reading, Fred and you are not dating, but in love with each other. You're going into your fourth year, you've been invited by the Weasleys to go to the Quidditch World Cup with them. In this story, Fred and George are only 1 year ahead instead of 2. Draco has a massive crush on you, but you love Fred. I apologise if my writing skills aren't the best. Enjoy the story!*
I awaken to the loud sound of the Weasleys piling out of the fireplace, so much for my couch nap.
"Good morning." Both Fred and George say enthusiastically.
"Morning," I mumble back.
Fred opens his arms indicating that he wants me to hug him. I jump off of the couch and slump over to fulfill his wish. After wrapping my arms around him and staying there for what seems like an eternity, Mr. Weasley clears his throat.
"Well, get your trunk y/n we've ought to get going. We still have to pick up Harry." He announces.
"Ginny, George, you first, y/n and Fred next." He pulls Ginny and George in front of them and hands them a handful of Floo Powder. A big flash of green and suddenly they're gone.
"Fred, y/n, your turn." He hands Fred and I each a handful of the powder and we climb into the fireplace.
"Ready, Freddie?" I ask, turning my head and smiling at him.
"Ready." He smiles back, we throw the Floo Powder down and announce the Dursley's address.
Soon enough there's a flash of green and a rushing feeling going throughout my body. The flickering of different fireplaces makes me extremely nauseous. I turn my head and bury my face in Fred's chest. He wraps his arms around me and holds the back of my head with his hand. Eventually, the flickering slows and we land on a pile of Weasleys.
"What the bloody hell?" Fred rubs his head.
"The fireplace must be blocked." Mr. Weasley announces.
"I've got this." He casts a spell and soon enough the fireplace bursts open.
"What the bloody hell!" I hear someone, who I assume to be Vernon, shout.
We climb out of the fireplace and Harry is slightly smiling.
"Hello, Harry," Ron says.
"Hi, Ron," Harry replies.
"Fred, George, y/n, why don't you go get Mr. Potter's trunk." Mr. Weasley turns and says to us.
The twins and I run up the stairs into Harry's bedroom.
"Freddie's been talking about you nonstop, y/n," George laughs.
"I have not." Fred smacks George on the arm.
"Of course he has, have you met me?" I jokingly say.
Fred's face turns red and he looks down at the floor. I elbow him in the arm and smile. I've known the Weasleys since the first year, Fred and I hang out basically every day. I've been in love with him since the second year and I'm assuming he feels the same way, or we can only hope at least.
We grab Harry's belongings and rush back downstairs.
"Well, it's about time you three got back." Everyone but George, Fred, Arthur, and I have left for the burrow already.
"Fred and y/n you first, then George, then me." Mr. Weasley points to the fireplace. Just before Fred and I enter the opening, George drops about 10 toffees on the ground.
"Whoops." He scrambles to pick them up. Before he can successfully pick up all of the candies, Harry's rather large cousin, Dudley, bends down and stuffs one into his mouth. He acts as though he hasn't eaten in weeks.
Fred and I climb into the fireplace and we hear Petunia shrieking.
"His tongue. Vernon the tongue!" She freaks.
"What have you evil scums done to my poor Duddy-boy." Vernon's face is bright purple.
"Well it's not our fault he's a greedy pig." I scornfully say.
"The burrow!" Fred and I shout and throw our powder down to the fireplace ground.
"George!" Mr. Weasley booms.
"Go now! While I sort this out." He shouts.
And just like that, Fred and I are spinning once again. Before I even ask he's motioning me into his arms.
