Chapter 3
The next morning, I got up very early and got dressed quickly.
I checked my watch, to see that it was 5:31 AM. I had my breakfast, and and swallowed some water. Then I got my bag, and packed some books, water, food, my notebook, a pencil and rubber, a blanket and my pillow, an extra jacket, and my red jersey, and I slung my backpack over my shoulder and stepped out into the cold morning.
I was going to run away.
Yes, it was true.
I was going to run away.
Those dramatic words echoed in my head.
I ran, towards the forest we lived close to, and I ran through it, my heart beating loudly. I did not want to leave my friends, but my father had said I was not allowed to be with them anyway. Fury leaped inside me. I was angry at my father - why was he so cruel to Muggle-borns? They were not mean to him - of course they weren't, and it was horrible that he called them Mudbloods!
I kept running.... running. Finally I had to stop, panting. I leant against a tree, thinking. I was so stupid! I should have thought about it before! Where was I going to go? I just should've thought about it last night, in bed. But I hadn't, and now I didn't have any plan about where I would go! Stupid me, I thought again miserably. Then an idea popped into my head. I wouldn't go to any place where wizards or witches would be, I'd go to the muggles! Yes! That was an idea! I smiled, in spite of myself. I couldn't help it! No one would recognise me there, because if I went to a place where witches or wizards were, because THEY would recognise me. Of course muggles wouldn't! I was so glad now - excited! Maybe even the muggles would take pity on me (if they didn't know I was a witch) and let me stay a few nights inside their house. I knew the way to the muggle town, so I started to run again... towards the muggle town!
