Chapter 5
"H-hi." he gasped
"hey" Logan says softly
"hey kiddo." Patton whispered
" welcome back" Roman says with a faint smile. Virgil managed a small laugh.
"Logan I'm sorry for freaking out like that."
" it's okay love, I apologize as well... I didn't mean to make you upset, I was just worried" he says
"umm... Virgil, if you don't mind me asking, and feel free to not respond, what happened?" Patton asked. Virgil took a few deep breaths before responding. "I don't know. I just was stressed over problems at work, and then some family things too..."
"work and family problems? this is first time I've heard of this." Patton looked around at Logan and Roman, both of whom were avoiding eye contact with Patton. Logan speaks
" Virgil spoke with me about work and asked me not to tell you and I agreed, but told him that he should attempt to tell you about it" he says " and he never mentioned family problems to me either" he says
"I knew about his family issues" Roman says " and he didn't want you two to worry so he asked me to keep it a secret, which I told him I would" he says
"oh Virgil! why wouldn't you tell me?"
" if I am correct, he didn't want to upset you or make you worry" Logan says

Virgil nodded. tears were threatening to spill from his eyes
"Virgil its ok. everything is okay! we can talk when you feel better. for now just try to relax." Patton said. Virgil nodded and closed his eyes. Logan stayed by him
" if you guys have things to attend to, I can stay with him since I'm off today" he says
"okay. if he has another attack then call me." Patton said while standing up. he rested a hand on Logan s shoulder, then leaned down and whispered in his ear. "when I get home we need to talk." he squeezed lagans shoulder, then left.
" I will, I promise" Logan says and nods once in response to Patton's request, he was silently agreeing to talk later.
Virgil rolled over on his side and looked at Logan. Roman leaves the room silently, so that Logan and Virgil could talk if they wanted too. Logan looked over at Virgil and gave him a small smile.
"I'm sorry." Virgil squeezed lagans hand.
" I accept your apology, and you are forgiven" Logan says and kissed the back of his hand " I'm just glad you're okay now, you had me worried" he says. Virgil smiled and reaches his hand to lagans face. he gently touches his cheek. Logan smiled and put his hand over Virgil's as he touched his face.
