Chapter 1
Virgil opened the door the apartment and stumbled in. he had gotten the late shift at work and had just got home despite it being almost midnight. he was surprised to find Logan waiting for him in the kitchen.
"Ah. Virgil your home." Logan stated. sounding relived
"hey lo. what are you doing up this late. Logan blushed.
"well I was waiting for you. i wanted to make sure you got home safe." Logan walked over to Virgil " how was work? " he asks taking note that Virgil looked tired, he wanted to make sure everything was alright. Virgil sighed.
"not good. they started laying people off and I'm afraid my unit might be next."
" we can only hope the will decide against letting you go, but should that be the outcome... I'm sure we can manage until you can find employment else where" Logan says and gently places his hand on Vigil's shoulder giving him a small smile" but we can talk more in the morning, for now you should get some sleep you look exhausted" he states Virgil nods slowly and Logan guides him to his bed room.
"are Patton and Roman already asleep?" asked Virgil
" yes they are, I am the only one still active right now" he says. Virgil turned to Logan said,
"do me a favor and don't tell Patton about my work problems. I don't want to make him upset." Logan sighs
" I won't tell him, but I highly advise you to try and talk to him tomorrow. but for now you need to rest, as do I" he says as he himself was starting to feel fatigued. Virgil sighed.
"ok, I will." Virgil stood on tip toe and kissed Logan. even in the dark he could see Logan blush a deep red. Virgil laughed. "you nerd." Logan smiled
" I am not a nerd, I am just intelligent and observant" he says and kissed Virgil's forehead " now go to bed, If you need anything you know where I'll be" he says and starts walking to his room which was down the hall from Virgil's .as Logan started to leave, Virgil grabbed his hand. "can you stay. please." he turned back to Virgil and gave a soft smile " okay, I'll stay" he says and lightly squeezes Virgil's hand and takes him into his room. once they enter the room, Virgil hops in the bed and curls up into a tight ball. after taking off his glasses and tie, Logan squeezes in next to him and wraps his arm around Virgil. Logan puts his glasses on the nightstand and removes his tie. he keeps his arm around Virgil and yawns quietly, as he let's his eyes close. Virgil pushes closer to Logan, then lets sleep take him.
