Sorting Harry Potter Characters Into MBTI - Part Four (Entertainment)
Chapter 10
Myers Briggs Personalities
Here are the traits for those who want to know or need to be reminded:
E/I - Extroverted/Introverted
N/S - Intuitive/Sensing
F/T - Feeling/Thinking
J/S - Judging/Perceiving
Dobby - INFP
Dobby would be an INFP. He is introverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving. I think that him being an introvert is obvious, given his at first shy demeanor and his dislike of a lot of different people. I think that he’s intuitive because he’s very curious and focuses on the future possibility of elves being freed, which are traits of an intuitive person. He is definitely feeling, it’s very obvious throughout the series. He is also perceiving, which may seem to be a strange answer given his hate for people. He is overall messy but good at improvising, making him more a perceiver.
Bellatrix Lestrange - ESFP
Bellatrix would be an ESFP. She is extroverted, sensing, feeling, and perceiving. Like Voldemort, she feeds off the energy of people and followers, unlike an introvert, who would rather spend time alone. She likes to spend time around others who are loyal to Voldemort because she knows she can trust them. She is sensing because she prefers stability over novelty. She wants to keep the pureblood traditions, and she wants to keep the Sacred 21 in power. Stability over novelty. She is feeling. Even though you might think that she is a thinker, her overall display over the series shows that she feels for Voldemort, and uses her morals instead of what is subjectively right or wrong. She is perceiving and not judging, as she’s overall more messy and a quick thinker than someone who makes a long list of who to kill.
Neville Longbottom - ISFJ
Neville Longbottom would be an ISFJ. He is introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging. Neville is very obviously an introvert. He is constantly shown having more fun with potted plants than other people, and he’s often singled out for being so scared around others. He is sensing, mainly because he’s not very intuitive. He doesn’t think through his actions as much as someone intuitive would, and he learns through experience. He is a feeler, which is obvious as well. He is a judger, which may surprise some people, but I do think that overall, he does possess the traits. He would prefer a calm and routine lifetime with no interruptions as a judger would. He does a lot of research before jumping into his activities because he’s scared of the outcome. He may not be tidy, but he does prefer an organized lifestyle.
