As always in “Transfiguration Today” we look at notable figures in transfiguration. For this publication I would like to feature. Emeric Switch.
If anyone took half a glance at their transfiguration books whilst at school, or if you are still at school, you will know that Emeric Switch is the author of most of our First Year Transfiguration Guides “Beginner’s Guide to Transfiguration”.
He was not only a scholar and author of the 1800s but he also taught at Hogwarts in the late 1890s just before the position was given to the late Albus Dumbledore. Previous Publications of Transfiguration Today are littered with his many wonderful articles ranging from the ethics of at home spell experimentation to human transfiguration. In 1953 he was killed by a violent backfiring of one of his experimental spells.
