Article 1 - Stuck in the space between
Chapter 1
The transfiguration of oneself or another being, can in many ways be a complicated business. Those of us with powers of transfiguration at will, either as a animagus or metamorphmagus know that with a lack concentration the risk of getting stuck in the “between” is not unheard of.
Why does this happen? This is because, like any transformation or transfiguration the particles of the body separate and regroup to form a new and different form. It does happen, however that the particles remain separated and are in, what I like to call the space between. Sometimes this is visible to others and sometimes not, you are, essentially, a ghost. Or spirit. Incapable of resuming a form.
How does this feel? If this happens to you then I can tell you, it feels very strange. Depending on the level of consciousness that the person has. It could be that the person needs a reversing spell or it could be that the person has no awareness of their state. They may be a “lost person” or something like that.
