Ted Tonks (Biography)
Chapter 5
Ted Tonks is a Muggle-born wizard, husband of Andromeda and father of Nymphadora. Deemed unclean by the Black family, their marriage caused Andromeda to be erased from the Black family tapestry.
In 1997, his house served as a refuge for Harry Potter and Rubeus Hagrid during Harry's transfer from 4 Privet Drive to the Burrow. Andromeda and Ted Tonks are then subjected to the Cruciatus Curse. But they are pulled out of it without major injury, "just a little shaken".
Then he flees because he refuses to be registered as Muggle-born by the Ministry of Magic and will be assassinated by supporters of Voldemort.
At some point, he crosses paths with Dirk Cresswell, Dean Thomas, and goblins Gripsec and Gornuk, with whom he will travel until he is killed by Snatchers led by Fenrir Greyback.
His son-in-law Remus Lupin and his daughter Nymphadora Tonks will name their son Ted in his homage.
