The Sad Part

Chapter 9
"Well, all you'll have to do is board the train, and then you'll reach Hogwarts in about three hours," I told Ferdinand.
"I can't wait," said Ferdinand happily.
"Well, you board the train tomorrow, so you have to go back to your mug- parent's house, and I'll just stay somewhere else to sleep." I forced a smile.
"What?! No way! You're not going to sleep outside or anywhere else! You're going to sleep in my house, OK?"
I hesitated before saying, "OK, but Ferdinand, you do know that I'm not going to be coming back to Hogwarts with you?"
"What? Why not?" asked Ferdinand, frowning. "No! No, no, Sylvia! You have to come back with me!"
"And why is that?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "Because -" Ferdinand swallowed. "Because you're my best friend! You're my only friend! And you're the one who told me all about Hogwarts and Diagon Alley - and everything! Sylvia, you have to come back with me back to Hogwarts!
I felt... I don't know the words to express it, but basically I felt sad and.... and angry with myself. But I knew I couldn't come back with him. "I just can't," I spluttered.
"Why not?" Ferdinand demanded.
"I just can't!" I said, and I turned away.
