Chapter i: Preface

  Greetings, fellow magister. It is my intention, through this tome to illuminate the nature of curses and hexes. This, of course, covers the incantations, wand movement, degree of difficulty in casting, counter curses/hexes, and the like of each spell listed within. The point, here, is not to provide ill minded wytches and wizards with the means by which these curses may be afflicted upon someone else. Indeed, it is to give the reader a stalwart shield of knowledge- a pool of which they may draw upon should the need ever arise.

  Practice that which you read within, with caution and the utmost of respect.

[Author's note: It should be pointed out, that while I have taken canon sources into the making of this book- not every bit of information contained herein may be considered canon; semi or otherwise. Many curses do not have incantations, wand movements, etc.. associated with them- so it has fallen upon the author to "fill in the gaps" as it were. I tried to keep myself as close to the source material as possible.]
