My life with Synesthesia

written by Alice Jansing

I have synesthesia, which means my letters are colored, my numbers have personalities, and some names feel soft and fluffy, and other names taste like peanut butter. I can also taste color, and see sound. It sucks. Here's my diary of being a synesthete. I'll add each day

Chapter 2
I don’t really tell people about the colors. (synesthesia is too hard to spell every time, some I’m just gonna call it the colors) If I tell them they’re all like “OMG whats my name taste like?” or “You numbers have personalities? That’s so weird.” Just to be clear I AM NOT weird. I’m just limited edition. But I’m ok with putting it on here because none of your will like get up in my face asking me that stuff, you can owl me if you want and I’ll tell you. I don’t mind little stuff like that. So I’m going to give you an example of name-tasting, so random name: Sue. so Sue is a golden yellow with a shimmer. Only some taste and feel others don’t. (tasting is the rarest for me) Another example: Aleesa, (oh also some smell) Aleesa smells like lilacs and is light pinkish purple with light blue swirls. It feels good to talk about it. Sophie: Sophie feels like those plush pillows and it also gives me an image-picture of an anime cat. Like a cute pink one. Also you have no idea how many times I have checked this. Sometimes I write backwards like pu stahw I can’t help it thats the dyslexia. *sigh* One example of a letter with a personality, I’ll get into that more later, so 3: 3 is like that oddball it always hangs out in the back and never really talks. Anyways, so yeah, Bye
