The Nether
Chapter 5
Every time he watched the Portal animation, Stampy would get slightly dizzy, but this time it didn't faze him a bit. Behind him, Squid, Amy, and Lee were clad in iron armor, along with the symbolic diamond sword, ready to fight the Nether ahead. But there was something very, very wrong.
There were no Mobs.
No Ghasts, no Pigmen, no Blazes, even the fire's weren't ignited. The only recognizable thing was that there were still Nether Fortresses, and the broken bridge above their heads, which supposedly lead to Herobrine's Fortress, which was a structure feared by almost all Minecraft Noobs.
"Follow my lead," Stampy whispered over the headset, only loud enough for the three players behind him, even though it was impossible for something that probably didn't exist to hear him. Everybody else was scared to. They didn't even have their headsets on.
Eventually, they made it up through the empty Nether Fortress and to the bridge, but there were, of course, no Mobs guarding it, as per the norm, so the Minecrafters could make it through peacefully, even with the gap, although they hadn't come prepared. Nobody had any blocks in their inventory.
Daringly, Stampy threw Lee his items, except for Regnad because it had gotten so bad it wouldn't even leave his inventory, and decided to try to jump the gap. He moved the analog stick back as far as it would go, and sprinted up, expecting failure. He sort of did. But a block had suddenly been placed under him. In the middle of the hole.
"Regnad," Stampy whispered to himself in sheer amazement, and he kept walking, then walked back to the beginning to complete the path for his friends. He made it about three blocks wide so they wouldn't fall into the lava below.
Without hesitation, they entered the Fortress. Somebody was there waiting for them. And it certainly wasn't Herobrine.
