I don’t know which of these is the true letter. I found them together. One implies that she didn’t die and that she wanted to make it look like she did. I know that Lucius was involved and he worked for the Ministry so that is entirely plausible, the other shows that she feels that in danger, although I’m not sure who she thought she was in danger from. When I was young, I thought it was the Green light man (Lucius Malfoy) but as I grew and learnt more about adult relationships, I wondered it she was in danger from Bellatrix Lestrange. I’m fairly sure my uncle knew nothing about it and that way if my father tried to read his mind he had been kept innocent.

Whichever way it goes there is one thing that is clear. I was brought up without a mother. The only difference is if she is alive and even if she is I don’t know if I would want to find out.
