This chapter will tell you a brief history about Hogwarts and how it was founded before going into all of the nice facts and things about other wizarding schools.

   Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded over 2000 years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin, Godric Gryffindor, and Helga Hufflepuff. They shared a wish to educate young sorcerers and Hogwarts School began. Now they all worked in peace and harmony but then an argument broke out because Slytherin wished only to teach those of magic ancestors, in other words, Pure-Bloods. After that word was it that Salazar had built a secret chamber only a parselmouth could open, before leaving the school. Then Ravenclaw said "we shall teach only those of wit and learning", said Gryffindor "we shall only teach those of daring and nerve and Hufflepuff said "I'll teach the rest and treat them just the same." There was also a worry that nobody will come to Hogwarts when the Founders were gone. 'Twas Gryffindor who found a way and took the hat off his head and the Four Founders put some brains in it and called it the Sorting Hat.
