Chapter 1
If you were to ask, Keefe could probably replay the moment he first laid eyes on Sophie Foster, thanks to his photographic memory. He was tremendously grateful for the rebellion of his father, influencing his love for ditching class. The first time he saw her beautiful brown eyes. Golden specks glinted in the sunlight. He never minded or thought they were unusual, despite ever seeing an elf with brown eyes before.
"You must be lost," he had said, never regretting the moment that started their friendship.
Although he knew from the start Sophie loved Fitz; he held on to the hope that one day Sophie would feel the same.
