Nymphadora Tonks (Biography)

Chapter 6

Nymphadora Tonks

Nymphadora Tonks is the daughter of Ted Tonks, a Muggle-born, and Andromeda Tonks. She is a Metamorphmagus and a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

Nymphadora Tonks grew up in a half-blood family with her father Ted Tonks, a Muggle-born, and Andromeda Tonks, her pure-blood mother who chose her first name. Growing up, Nymphadora Tonks preferred that those around her called her Tonks, rejecting her first name which she found stupid.

After Hogwarts, and three years of training, Nymphadora Tonks passed the tests to become an Auror in 1994. Being a Metamorphmagus, she passed her concealment and disguise tests with the highest marks but almost missed the tests of agility because of his great clumsiness.

She later became an Auror at a lower rank than Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Tonks is a heart-shaped, pale-faced witch with dark, shiny eyes. Her short hair is often an extravagant color like pink or purple. She can change her appearance at will, as a Metamorphmagus.

Nymphadora Tonks is an enthusiastic person who makes friends easily. On the other hand, she is also very clumsy which regularly leads her to dropping objects or breaking them. She uses her Metamorphmagus powers to change her appearance according to her own desires. Being curious, she is delighted to know more about the Muggle world apart from what she knows about her father.

Her Metamorphmagus power helps her hide, but she also uses it to have fun and amuse people. When she fell into depression from Remus Lupin, she lost the ability to properly harness her power.
