Once I caught a fish alive...

Chapter 4
Summer - 1993

This summer was the year of the pixies. As part of our holiday we agreed to return Professor Lockhart’s Pesky Pixies to a more suitable location. It was the first time that I had had a creature that I was actually setting free. It was an altogether odd experience to have a “pet” that was for all intense purposes “stunned” until we arrived at our destination and they would be able to fly around quite happily. I much preferred tis feeling of releasing them than making potions out of them.

Summer - 1994

By this time, I was no longer interested in pets and animals. I was interested in boys. I had been for a while for the last few years in fact but the animals served as a good distraction whilst I was home. This time I didn’t have time for a distraction. I was busy not only in this world but the with the trees in their world. Ready to learn and take other forms, other powers and knowledge. I was busy.

Summer - 1995

Crash summer. I’m not sure if I was the pet or if he were mine. But as I say there is no pet and no owner. Maybe an alpha and a beta. I was smaller, weaker and unwilling. I changed as a person. I went from a friend to a fighter.
