Hazel had been talking to her sister about the sudden rise in inter-house communication, sure she herself was mostly around slytherins but that was beside the point. that was when a slytherin and a gryffindor came over and dragged iris away under the pretense of homework help and help with the professor. when they were almost out of the great hall, Wayne, Iris' crush and a sixth year hufflepuff, came up to her. 

He looked serious as he said "I need to ask a favor of you" Hazel raised an eyebrow at the comment. "what could someone like you need from someone like me?" she said and let a vicious smirk come to her lips. Wayne's face had turned a light shade of pink but he looked serious in a few minutes. "I need to find out how to ask Iris out and what she likes..." he looked uncertain now. "you are asking me?" she said looking amused. he nodded and he could see hazel look close to purring, if she had been a cat. 

Hazel was thrilled at knowing he wanted to ask Iris out but she had seen her sister notice them so she had a feeling trouble would occur. Her sister tended to misunderstand very easily. "well first of all, never try this again..... no don't argue.... you just made Iris a chance to misunderstand you." Hazel said and he looked embarrassed and a little upset. "second, asking her out is easiest if you just come out bluntly and say it.... unless you want a romantic approach." Hazel's eyes gleamed with amusement. 

There was a bit of chattering going on and she heard the rumors starting already. "third, she likes food, plants, rocks, animals, writing,reading, sweaters, and you... obviously" Hazel said, her voice sounding like professor snape when she said the last word. Wayne Looked a bit taken aback. 

"she is a very simple girl.... smart but simple" Hazel commented and smirked, standing and headed to her recent boyfriend, A slytherin, without so much as a wave. Wayne sighed and headed back to the common room.
