On the 1st of March, Hagrid tells Harry about Snape and Dumbledores argument. On the 7th May, Snape finds out that Harry used Sectusempra on Draco and gives him detention for the rest of the year. On the 11th of May, Harry has detention with Snape and Snape makes him re-copy old detention files from James Potter and Sirius Black. In early June, Professor Trelawney tells Harry that Snape overheard the prophecy. Soon after, Snape kills Dumbledore when Draco fails to. He admits to being the Half-Blood Prince and escapes Hogwarts. In July, he attends a death eater meeting at Malfoy manor in Wiltshire where he tells everyone of the order plans to move Harry from Privet drive. He also witnesses a murder if one of his fellow teachers at Hogwarts. In August, Snape becomes headmaster of Hogwarts by a ministry controlled by death eaters. In December 26th, Dumbledores portrait tells Snape to hide Gryffindors sword in the Forest of Dean. Snape leads Harry to it with his patronus.
