Chapter 9
Halloween
Ok, fast forward one month later…
It’s Halloween now and EVERYONE was getting ready. For most people, this is their favorite holiday but personally, I prefer Christmas. Anyway, it was almost Halloween dinner and I couldn’t wait! I mean, c’mon. The first actual dinner at Hogwarts that I actually went to was the best dinner I had ever so the Halloween one was probably going to be good too! As I and other Gryffindors rushed downstairs, I could help but think of all the great food there is going to be! Once I got there, I sat down. Headmistress Oshiro gave a small speech and once she was done, I shoveled my food into my mouth.
I was almost recreating the Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest by myself! I finally stopped eating and realized that I forgot my book! I always like to read at the table after I finish eating. I snuck out of the great hall and ran towards the Gryffindor common room. I grabbed my book and casually walked back down to the Great Hall. That was until I saw a mysterious door. (Professors if you're ready for this I am very sorry!)My natural instinct was telling me, “GET AWAY FRO A DOOR THAT YOU DON’T KNOW YOU DING DONG!” But of course, my childish behavior was telling me, “Ohh, I wondering how much trouble I would get my sneaking inside this room.” Me, being a Gryffindor choose my childish behavior.
I went inside the room and there I found an open window, the fierce breeze whipping the curtains. I peered down the window and I gulped. The height was scary. I decided that it was time to leave. Just then, I heard a gurgling sound. I peered around the room. And of course, I decided to follow it. (Professors again, please don’t expel me!) I walked towards a curtain. It seems like the gurgling sound was coming from there. I whipped open the curtains and I saw door after door, after door, after door. I gulped. I was about to walk away when a gust of air blew me in and the door slammed shut. Oh gosh, I thought. This is the end of me! I heard thuds and scraping on the floor. It came around the corner. And when I saw what was there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. TO BE CONTINUED!
