Chapter 14
"One night my mother was driving me from home from my school play and I moved around trying to get comfortable in the seat. I had my seat belt so tight that I could barely breathe. She looked back at me to see if I was ok. Her hands slipped from the wheel. The car turned and we rolled away from the road. I saw a bright light while we were rolling. I don't know what it was but it frightened me. I clung to my seat belt. My mother didn't have her seat belt on though so as we started rolling she yanked at the seat belt to click it, but she was too slow and…..”, he cut away from the rest. “When I opened my eyes again, the car was upside down and I saw her lying on the roof of the car motionless. Cuts on her arms from the sharp glass that cut her. Her long brown hair was covering her face, but I could tell that she was...dead. A car soon came by and must have seen something that shouldn't be on the side of the road and it pulled over. A man came out of the car and walked towards me and once he realized what it was he immediately pulled out his phone and called 911. He then looked into the car to try and find someone to tell the police who was inside. He saw me sitting in my seat and still hanging there. He asked for my name and I couldn't speak. All I said was…. Mom. The man then saw my hand pointing to my mother that still lay motionless. He then spoke into his phone telling them that there was a small boy and a woman in the car and told them that I was fine but my mother was dead."
