Chapter 3
September 1990
Slytherins: oi Snape!!! wrong house!!!
Leanne: Don't listen to them Louisa.
Me: I'm fine.
Mme Hooch: Calm it, calm it everyone I want order in my classes. These are the rules and you will abide by them every single time, do I make myself understood?
Everyone: Yes Professor
Mme Hooch: Then I suggest you all make your way to a broomstick and stand with your dominant hand over the handle of the broom.
For those that do not understand, brooms are charmed objects, we will discuss this further and you will look at this in charms class as well BUT for now you will all place your hand over... yes?
Belby: er miss what's my dominant hand?
Mme Hooch: that would be your wand hand, or your writing hand. Now if there are no more questions place your hand over and say UP. Do not shout it, but a nice firm voice is required.
At the end of the lesson Mme Hooch came to me. "Nicely done today. Did you listen to Charlie's advice?"
"Yes Mme Hooch. Uncle, sorry, Professor Snape told me to practice."
"Yes he says you could make a good flyer."
I smiled.
