Chapter one, a ruff start at Hogwarts
Chapter 1
No. I don't want to write. Not to you, not to anyone. My pa says I should. He says it's what they do in no-maj therapy or whatever. To be entirely honest I think it is all a monumental waist of time, but... it's worth a try. So here it goes: My name is Morgana Blaze, and I'm cursed.
It all started a few years back. I was in my fourth year at Ilvermorny. I was a thunderbird, and pretty popular if I do say so myself. Then I made a tremendous mistake. There was this guy in who came to school, teaching magical creature studies while professor Slichten was out. He had a magic briefcase that would sometimes make noises like there was something in it. It was so distraction, I couldn't pay attention during class. I was a good student, but my grades started to tank.
So to get back at the substitute teacher I snuck into the classroom while he was in the grate hall... and... I opened the brief case. Inside was beautiful. There were houses, gardens, lakes, mountains, but most importantly: magical creatures. The most beautiful ones I had ever laid eyes on. And in the midst of all of it, there was a unicorn colt.
He whinnied at me, practically begging me to take him. So I did.
I kept Steve for a couple of weeks hidden in my dorm room. My dorm mates loved him. The substitute teacher never knew he was gone.
Then came time for the Halloween feast. Steve had grown quite a bit, and... he was getting restless. I made the mistake of going to the feast. To my surprise, Steve joined us. He stormed in neighing and all that. His horn empaled a students arm before they got a hang of him.
My so called loyal dorm mates ratted me out.
A couple months later I find myself on the train to Hogwarts. Yet another school, which I am expected to fail at. I'm alone here in an empty compartment, and I hope to stay that way. I don't intend to stay at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry long, so making friends would be a waist of time.
Oh no, the door is sliding open. To be continued...
