30th October 1981 – Godric’s Hollow
Chapter 1
I had heard what she had said. I had heard the prophecy that’s why I was here. But she, they hadn’t heard it. Not like I had. They hadn’t lived like I had.
WHEN SPARES ARE SPARED, WHEN TIME IS TURNED, WHEN UNSEEN CHILDREN MURDER THEIR FATHERS: THEN WILL THE DARK LORD RETURN.
I could see what Delphi wanted but I understood time far better than any of them. And there was something, a large thing that she had not considered. In the words of my uncle, even a 5-year-old could do it. She had missed the point.
Cedric Diggory may have been “the spare” when it came to it that night in the graveyard but he would not be there if he had not been tied to win.
Time is time it is not turned.
Unseen children, she had spent much time thinking that this meant Albus had to kill Harry. What she failed to realise were the consequences. If Albus killed Harry there would be no spare because he would not regenerate. At the same time there would be no Albus because there was no Harry. If Scorpius had killed Draco it is possible that Harry would have been a Slytherin and Albus not exist anyway. She also neglected to take into consideration the fact that she was yet to be born. She was risking her own existence just by being there.
I however was 2/3 years old. I was currently transfigured to an invisible entity. Was I to murder my father? No. of course not. But I could make sure that time turned back and I could protect them.
