Lesson One: Introduction to Defense Against the Dark Arts Study Guide

Chapter 2

It is out of the question that there was ever a start in the Dark Arts. With the Death Eaters in power from 1997-1998, they set forth many new laws such as making the Dark Arts legal; including the vanishment of the Defense Against the Dark Arts course. It became The Dark Arts, which educated the young on how to use it; not how to defend yourself from it. The terrifying thing about the Dark Arts is that it can never be conquered completely.
