I always knew this day would come. That, at some point, I would have to force myself into telling you the truth. I don’t think your father ever wanted me to but your mother, like me saw it as an inevitable, perhaps the logical thing to do. For many years now you have been taunted, teased and bullied for being the heir of Slytherin, for being the son of Voldemort and not the son of your Father. I would like for you to understand where that comes from.

The first thing you and so many other people need to understand is that you are definitely a Malfoy. You are NOT the son of Voldemort. The second thing you need to understand is that a maledictus, such as your mother can be very weak, and pregnancy, such as it is for anybody, can be a very dangerous thing. The third and final thing is that people in the transfiguration community are close. We are all close we are bonded, all of us for life.

People have a problem with your birth because Astoria never gave birth to you. It was thought, by many people that there may be dangers not only for you but also for Astoria. By carrying a child, she risked making herself even more ill than she already was. I want to point out though, that you were in NO WAY to blame for anything.

Instead of Astoria being pregnant I was the one that carried you. I will spare you details. Me, Charlie and Delphi were in Romania most of the time, and your mother and father came to spend time with us out there. There were many rumours. The Malfoys being with the daughters of Voldemort was bound to raise suspicions, and that is why they talk.

I know it’s a lot, that it’s strange. But I will always be protective over you. I will always be here. It doesn’t mean that your mother loved you less. You share none of my blood, none of my DNA. The way I look at it is that I was the oven to my best friend’s little boy.
