As I got there Charlie and Bertie gave me the biggest hugs imaginable.

“Don’t say anything. Severus told us the whole thing. We’re just glad you’re ok.” Both of them were yelling at me, screaming at me.

“Mme Pomfrey says rest. Just rest.” I retorted it was the only thing I could come up with.

What was I supposed to say? That I was married to someone else? Had other children? It wasn’t a subject I could face. I just went to bed and tried to go to sleep.

A few hours later Charlie sat beside me, ruining my feeble attempts to sleep.

“So, which version did you NOT marry me?” asked Charlie in the most casual way he could muster.

“What?” I was surprised by this.

“Well, we wouldn’t be together if Fred and Snape and Voldemort hadn’t died” I was shocked, although could see his point.

“Oh right, thanks for the vote of confidence” I said.

“No, I mean, I’d have always loved you, just more like a sister.” His unease was clear.
