The Hufflepuff Common Room & Underrated and Underrepresented
Chapter 4
Another thing is that we didn't even get to see the Hufflepuff common room, which is kind of sad. We got to see all the other house’s common rooms but not Hufflepuff’s.
And speaking of the common room: Food brings people together, and I think Helga Hufflepuff made the Hufflepuff common room near the Kitchens because of that. (Credit to Angie!!) It isn’t just because Hufflepuffs like to eat or that they are fat. That is plain cruel and if you think that, I don’t want to meet you.
Plus, there are only two main Hufflepuff characters in the Harry Potter books, and those people are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks, and even they weren’t super important, which makes Hufflepuffs underrepresented. However, I am glad that a Hufflepuff, Newt Scamadner, has their own movie series, Fantastic Beasts, so good call on that, J.K. Rowling! However there were not any really important characters who were Hufflepuff in the original HP books.
