New Game
Gather 'round, all ye gamers-- er, witches and wizards; a new Portkey game is here, and you can be sure it'll alohamora its way into your heart.
Portkey Games, aptly named after something that can transport you to a better place, are known for their creations "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite" (pretty much Pokemon GO for magical folk) and "Hogwarts Mystery" (it's a Hogwarts mystery…). Now they're working on "Hogwarts Legacy", an open-world, single-player6 RPG supposedly set at about a HUNDRED YEARS before Harry Potter began his own famous school years. It's said to be released in 2021, but no exact date has been given. You can customize your character and which house you're in, and eventually, you'll be able to build different skills. Some of these include taming magical creatures, casting spells, brewing potions, and even combat. You can also have a companion on your journey, but it's not known if this will include pets, other students, or even your Patronus. Now, into the story. You are a student at Hogwarts in the 1800s. An ancient secret threatens the wizarding world, and it's up to you to protect it. You are unusual in that you can perceive and perform Ancient Magic, and you must use this to complete quests and choose your destiny through situations that will test what you stand for. For some other information, I recommend looking up the trailer, which has shown that the game will have gorgeous graphics, lots of locations, and variety in character creation. It will be available on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. I hope this sparked your interest in this new addition and filled you in on some details.
