Chapter 10
Helga's Hufflepuff Cup
Helga Hufflepuff's cup is a small gold cup. Voldemort stole the cup and made it one of his Horcruxes.
Origin
The cup belonged to Helga Hufflepuff, one of the founders of Hogwarts. Hepzibah Smith, the descendant of Helga Hufflepuff and collector, inherits the cup. One day, under the spell of young Tom Riddle, then employed at Boggins and Burkes, Hepzibah Smith shows him two of the treasures of his collection: the cup of Helga Hufflepuff and the medallion of Salazar Slytherin. The old lady is found dead and the official version is that she was inadvertently poisoned by her house-elf, Hokey.
Hepzibah's murder allows Voldemort to turn the cup into a Horcrux. Voldemort entrusts his Horcrux to Bellatrix Lestrange who hides it in his chest in Gringotts, not really knowing what it is. It adds several protections in addition to those of the bank. The Spell of Duplication, which multiplies the objects to infinity, and the Spell of Flagrance which burns all people other than the owner of the safe.
Destruction of the Horcrux
It is during their capture at Malfoy Manor that Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley discover where the Horcrux is hiding. After their escape, using Polyjuice Potion they infiltrate Gringotts with Gripsec to seize the Cup before escaping on the back of a dragon. No longer having the Sword of Godric Gryffindor to destroy the Horcrux, they had to wait for the Battle of Hogwarts to be able to infiltrate the Chamber of Secrets and destroy the Horcrux with Basilisk hooks.

The Sword of Godrick Gryffindor
The sword of Gryffindor is one of the four Founders' Relics. Made in the 10th century by Goblin King Ragnuk I, it is today considered the property of every new Hogwarts Headmaster in office and is kept in a display case in the latter's office.
Description
Gryffindor's sword is eighty-sixed centimeters long. It is made of pure silver, has a ruby-encrusted handle, and its handle is the size of an egg. Just below the hilt is engraved with the name of Godric Gryffindor, the original owner of the sword.
Capabilities
This is an enchanted sword strongly related to the Sorting Hat, another relic of Godric Gryffindor: indeed, it is known that the sword will arise from the Sorting Hat for anyone who needs it, on the sole condition that no one is a worthy student of the house of Gryffindor at Hogwarts. Additionally, being a silver goblin crafted item, the sword is future proof and has the ability to repel things like dirt. Also, the money that composes it allows it to absorb poison and blood that can be turned against its enemies. As a result, the sword absorbed Basilisk venom in 1993 in the Chamber of Secrets, which has since given it the ability to destroy Horcruxes.
