Chapter 8
Hey everyone! Coming back with a quick update:

I tried shifting two nights ago (I think). I have pretty much noticed a pattern when I try to shift. I can get calm, relaxed, focused on my DR, and I fully believe that I can shift. So I listen to my meditation and then start counting (raven method) or visualizing (other methods) as I listen to my subs. However, after about a half hour of lying still, waiting to fall asleep, either I get thirsty or my foot itches or I get cold, etc. So I need to like reposition or get water or something. But you aren't supposed to move! I am also a side sleeper, so it is really difficult to fall asleep on my back. What I have been doing every time I attempt to shift is eventually I just turn the subs off and give up, telling myself that I will try again tomorrow. I took a break from trying to shift last night, which was good.

Remember to take breaks!!

Shifting takes time. It won't happen your first try, but you don't need to try every single night. You can try a few times a week, or whatever you want.

Another thing I always notice is that when I start to get "close" I always start to twitch. I think this is a good sign.

The last time I shifted, I actually decided to try the Alice in Wonderland method. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it, but I don't think I will use it again.

I am going to shift tonight.

I think tonight I will use the piano method (I have just updated the methods chapter) because I have heard people have had success with that one.

I also made a Pinterest board for my DR. I still have my Google Slides but I REALLY recommend having a Pinterest board because it helps you visualize your DR, yourself, and get you thinking positively and in the zone.
