Scripting

Chapter 2
Scripting is one of the most important parts of shifting. When you script, always write in present tense.

When you write your script, you can do it digitally or on paper. My script is digital, and I always read it over before shifting. However, if you try the pillow method of shifting (explained later), you must have a paper copy of your script. So either print out your script or write it out.

I also recommend finding some inspo pictures, especially if you are going to change your appearance. My script is written on a google doc, but I have a google slide with pictures of my DR self's face, eyes, hair, robes, school uniform, and non-uniform clothing style. I also have a few slides with pictures of Hogwarts that inspire me and make me feel at home and closer to Hogwarts. These pictures help you visualize yourself and your DR.

Tips

Do not try and script perfection. You want your DR to feel real, so making yourself perfect will feel too forced and fake, not to mention boring.

You can't always be happy. If you want your DR to be as real as possible, let yourself feel every emotion. In my script I wrote that I don't have depression, but I didn't say that I can't be sad.

Don't script every single scenario. Let some things be unexpected.
