Matchstick

A type of matchstick is when it has to be banged upon a surface to be lit. This is the safety matches. It looks like a light brown stick & is very red at the pointed top. The sound is due to the matchstick being very light, so the sound is soft. It tastes almost like vinegar & salt. The point is smoky & the wood smells a bit sweet. It is a bit rough to the touch.

Needle

Needles are mostly used to thread fabric together. For example, you can hem a skirt. There are three parts of a needle; the head (the eye), the body (long part), & the point (goes into the fabric). It looks thin & round; pointy at one end & the eye at the other end. It is also silver in color. It sounds loud & sharp when dropped. It smells & tastes like metal. It is hard & sharp to the touch.

Spell

A thing that can go wrong is that the tip of the match doesn't have a complete point; the eye is hard & not empty, or the needle isn't silver. A theory suggests that Delfina Crimp, a seamstress who also created the Severing Charm, also invented Conmutocus. This spell is not difficult to learn, so we can envision the features of the item without too much willpower.
