Chapter 3
Cedric's attitude had changed. The thought that he was actually good at the games seemed to boost his confidence immensely.
(he stroked his wife's now brown and purple hair, it had been a long time since he had seen that.)
CEDRIC: But they came to save me? (he frowned)
LOUISA: Yeah you… er… die. The cup is still a portkey. You go with Harry and … Voldemort kills you. (she says hurriedly)
CEDRIC: You seem pretty ok about this. (he wasn't lying but it felt hurt to be so casually killed off)
LOUISA: It’s been a long time and I’ve done my grieving, well I thought I had. (she held him just a little closer)
CEDRIC: So, your father kills me. But what happens to you? (pushing her away, this could be a trick...questions... answers)
LOUISA: I spend time as a pool of water and… go to Grimmauld Place for a while. I develop MED. (her face was grim)
CEDRIC: MED?
LOUISA: (she sighed) Magical Eating Disorder, and carry on loosing people in the Battle of Hogwarts. I imagine that was more or less the same. (her face was tired. tears in her eyes) Other than Harry killing Voldemort. (she started to zone out she was at the battle....)
CEDRIC: (clapped his hands and brought her to life) This seems like a strange world you created. (he was unsure)
LOUISA: One without you. (she touched his hand)
CEDRIC: So, do you get married? Have kids? What about Severus? (his questions were powerful)
LOUISA: Severus? (she was confused)
CEDRIC: Yeah, is he still at the school?
LOUISA: He’s dead! (she slapped him)
CEDRIC: Oh. (realising what she had done she sat back on the bed)
LOUISA: So…tell me about us. What happened with us? Did we still have our months of fun before the final?
CEDRIC: Yeah, loads seem to blame you for that. But we’re married. We have kids. (he smiled)
LOUISA: Married doesn’t mean happy Cedric. (in a matter of fact way) And you don’t look happy. You look, well you don’t look like the Hufflepuff that helped me with my Potions homework. You look like a Slytherin that wants to seek revenge.
CEDRIC: I don’t know. I'm just older and need some sleep. This isn’t an easy life. And I guess the Hufflepuff has been driven out. (he rubs his cheek)
LOUISA: No, (she smiles) the Hufflepuff is talking to me, I always see him. He is deep down I just think we need to let him shine through. I think Jax seems him.
CEDRIC: He sees the good in everyone.
LOUISA: Then follow his lead.
