Chapter 18
Dear Diary,
It's been a crazy ride so far. Sometimes, it's as though I'm buried in parchment and I struggle to find my quill. I've even hardly have time to go on dinner dates with Julius anymore though thankfully, we work in the same place so I do get to see him once in a while when we have to plan out our lessons.
It's a little awkward talking about Julius to you, diary, though you're like a friend to me - a place where I can write everything. So, here goes nothing.
Just the other day, there was a moment when time stood still. I didn't know what came over me, or us, but we just simply stared into each other's eyes for a good 3 minutes. After that, he moved closer and leans his forehead into mine. It was a tender moment when our foreheads touched and he said to me that I was his strength to carry on. I truly blushed into a crimson red but I had to hold it in.
Also, I've been feeling kind of down these days. Though keeping the facade up, I need to remain strong. There are days I feel completely incompetent as a professor. I want to teach my students so much more, to bring out the best in them, but I feel limited. I think there's just too much fears and anxieties in me these days.
I need to stay strong.
