CORDELIA
written by ⧫︎Lydia Goldstein⧫︎
This is a book about Cordelia. She gets caught by two Death Eaters, and from then her life is a disaster. (By the way, there is a second book I am going to make about Cordelia, so watch out for that one!) Thanks, Milly.

Chapter 5
Cordelia was down in the grounds. It was early in .the morning, and there was some fog. She was sitting on the dewy grass, inhaling the fresh air. 'Life's good,' she said to herself, and chuckled.
Suddenly there was a flash of red light, and then darkness.
Cordelia opened her eyes. Everything was blurry, and her head was sore. Above her, she could make out two men, laughing at her.
'Wakey, wakey, girly,' laughed one.
Cordelia tried to sit up, but she could not. She was sore all over. Dimly she saw a man with a black cloak push past the two laughing men, and the cloaked man said, 'Let her rest. We don't want her to be too injured when she's in the boss's office.
'Couldn't we try one Unforgivable Curse on her?' said the man who had laughed at her.
'NO! I said, she can't be severely injured!' said the cloaked man angrily. He left the room.
The other men looked down at Cordelia. One looked at the other, and he nodded.
There was a flash of green light, and then Cordelia was screaming in pain...then she fell unconscious.
The next time she woke up she was in a cold dungeon. She looked up at the shimmer of light that was coming in through a tiny window high up. She shivered, and hugged her knees. How could she get out of this place?
She staggered to her feet, and then sat back down immediately onto the cold stone floor. She was still sore. Well, lying on a cold stone floor wouldn't have helped she thought. And then she thought of Hogwarts - would someone have realised by now that she was gone? But, of course, Alvie! Alvie would certainly notice! She would inform McGonagall, who would hopefully realise that Death Eaters had kidnapped her and then they would search out to try and find her! And - but she was getting her hopes up too much. The truth probably was, was that Alvie would have guessed she would have got into one of her mischievous plans...
The jail door burst open, and there stood the same cloaked man she had seen before.
Cordelia backed away.
'You're awake.' The cloaked man pushed forwards a grimy bowl with bread and water in it - but it was stale bread.
The cloaked man looked at Cordelia, and she threw a glance at him. He still had his mask on. It looked like a twisted face. Then without a backward glance, he left and slammed the dungeon door behind him.
The sound rang in Cordelia's ears. Suppressing a sob, she drew the bowl with bread and water in it closer to her. It was nothing compared to Hogwarts food, but she was so hungry that she couldn't help resisting a tiny bite of the bread.
After eating the stale and unhealthy bread, she drunk some water, and lay back on the stone wall.
Closing her eyes, she curled up and soon went into an uneasy and uncomfortable sleep.
