Chapter 2
Name: Den Diggory (it means, follower of Dionysius)
Age (2020): 17
House: Gryffindor.
I don’t know how or why I was put in Gryffindor, after all I am a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. People say that it is because I have red hair. I am tall, over 6foot, and am currently Head Boy. I think I was only made Head Boy because of my mother and my grandfather. I don’t think they really thought that I was good enough. People are always scared of my family.
My father is Cedric Diggory, he was in Hufflepuff. He was selected for the Triwizard Tournament but failed to win, it shows that you don’t have to be in Gryffindor to be brave. He is now a Death Eater and works for the Ministry of Magic. My mother was born Sarah Louisa Snape-Riddle. She is the daughter of Lord Voldemort, she was a Gryffindor, just like me, and Head Girl. She is a transfigurist.
I like to fly and I am seeker on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. My best subject is Care of Magical Creatures and Mythology. My worst was Potions. I only did it up to OWL standard and I received an A. My Uncle Severus Snape was not pleased with me because it meant I could not do more. Next year my father wants me to train as an apprentice at the Ministry but I want to train with animals. I like the idea of dragonology. I might be able to go to Romania. There is a Dragon Sanctuary there, they brought over the dragons for the Triwizard Tournament in 1994. I hope to go there.
I have two other siblings, a sister called Elise (which means committed to God) and a brother called Jax (God is gracious). They are very different to me.
When I am home, I feel very alone. I am closest to my grandfather Amos. He says he will do anything to help me be the best I can be.
