Dangers Of Chaos Magic
Chapter 3
There is nothing stupider than a person who thinks they can control the cosmic forces around them. I have had little patience with students that think because they are learning this branch of magic they can do what they want. I have in fact watch people die because they do not listen. Dangers of this magic should not be taken lightly, I mean it. You can and will die if you do not school your emotions and the overactive imagination that most with the mind set to lean this magic tend to have. There is are a lot of preventive measures you can take about protecting yourself. I pointed out have a way of expressing yourself as one. Those with out a preventive measure end up dying or ending up with a fate that well death wouldn't be better, but they would love to have it instead.
I have two students I would like to recall. Melissa and Dave. They were students that did not listen to me when I warned of the variables that went into this particular magic set.
Dave was stupid, he wasn't brilliant like most of my other students, but he at least tired. Dave got it into his head that he would try a strengthening spell. He of course did not set up the perimeters that the spell would work on, and how long it would last. Also there is how the spell will end and the state of the matter afterward. I will delve into some basic spell usages in chapter 5. Dave activated his spell and well he ended up being a mud like monster. It was a beak down between steps four and five of the spell weaving you must partake in.
Melissa was less fortunate, Dave's mistake was fixable, but Melissa's was not. Melissa attempted to a do a cutting spell on an dummy. Certain spells cannot be reversed as Dave's was. She attempted to fling it at her dummy. Forgetting to focus on her target. This caused her spell to be attracted to the nearest thing with magic that was unprotected. Melissa was not one for protection spells so you can imagine she did not end well. There was a lot of blood that I had to clean up and of course Melissa required a necromancer to put her back together, but we were unable to bring her back to life. As her spell was quite final.
Spells can be reversed and they can be final like all things in the universe and Death is the final spell, few come back and when they do come back they are never the same as when they left. Writing your self out of existence is something you don't come back from ether. When you are written out by the universe no one will remember you except those deities that watched it happen, even then you are but a small light among a sea of bright candles to them. Death is not to be messed with, even Chaos users that can bring people back from the dead find that those they bring back are not whole. Some lose their magic, their minds and sometimes they end up dying again because they are tied to the magic of the user themselves. This limits and drains a users magic and could possible even kill the user if they are not strong enough.
