It’s 7:00 clock, and I was already up. I don’t know how maybe it’s because of all the questions. Since I’ve wake up that early, I’ll just do a little research on the snow globe. I stand up, trying the best I can to not make any noises. But the floor keeps making those creaking sound. I slowly came downstairs and opened my backpack. The snow globe was in there. I carefully grabbed it out, and suddenly I found out in the snow globe there was no snow anymore. Somehow in the snow globe, it was raining.

What? Did it change? I mean it’s not weird, it’s magic. But still! it’s incredible! And then just in my hand, it changed into a storm. Suddenly I feel a cold wind at my back. I turned around, outside the window a storm was happening. Eeek! It’s happening the same thing! It’s that my power? Can I control the snow globe? And the weather will be the same? If it is, then I can control the weather! I need to tell Mia when I got to school! I looked at the clock to check if it’s really late and that I need to get ready for school. It’s 7:05. Time’s so slow, guess I’ll just go brush my teeth.

I was in school, checking my locker when Addison walk over. “Hey, you right there,” I looked around, nobody was near me. “M-me?” “Yes, you. Who else would I be calling?” This is not good, am I getting bullied? I try to keep calm and asked “And why?”
“I want you to stop being a friend with Mia.”
“Why? I can’t just end my only friend relationship.”
“Because it’ll be a shame to her. she’s popular, I’m popular, she supposed to befriend with people like me,” Addison bragged, “And such a pity you only have one friend.” I secretly rolled my eye and said: “You can’t force her to be your friend and you can’t force me too. What am I going to say when her family comes up? I start to struggle in my mind. Should I ring the bell? No, I’m too shy for that. But I need to tell her what happened this morning and what Addison did to me. But Addison said that don’t even dare to tell her. Ah, we’re lost on track, I’m supposed to think about ringing the bell. I don’t want to, they will think that I’m weird. Nah, I’m not going. Just as I was going to left, the door opened. “Hello, Ember. I heard a lot of you from Mia. Oh, leaving so soon, why don’t you come inside and play with the kids,” I heard a woman said, it’s probably Mrs. Bandini. “Ha, I was going to leave,” I turned around, “But s-since you opened t-t-t-the door, I’ll c-come in,” I spluttered. I nodded several times as I walked in. “Mia!” I called. “Mia! come out, Ember came!” Mrs. Bandini shouted. “Ember came?” I heard Mia yelled from somewhere. Then there was a few discuss voice, I wonder who was with Mia. then I saw Mia appeared in the hallway. “Mia, I have something important to tell you!” I said in a low voice, Mia can’t seem to understand. I just looked at Mrs. Bandini and said: “May I borrow her at the second?” she nodded and I dragged Mia out. I didn’t wait for Mia to ask me what’s going on, I just explained. I told her about all the detail about what happened in the morning. But I didn’t tell her that Addison bullied me.

“Let me just say, this is amazing! You have found your power!” sang Mia, she jumped up and down and left and right. “I can’t just say I have found my power,” I said listlessly, “it might be coincident. And even if it is my power, I don’t know how to control it.” Mia stopped jumping up and down and left and right. “Then give me the snow globe! I shall figure it out!” she suddenly acts like a king. I signed and opened my backpack to take out the snow globe. It takes me a few moments to get it out. “Here you go,” I muttered as I put my hand out for her to grabbed it. “Ahhhhhh!” I heard someone screamed. My head suddenly flashed a memory that I was drowning. That memory was awful. I screamed just like that. The flash end and I looked around for that sound. Because of the voice, Mia actually didn’t have time to grab the snow globe. I have to save that person…but where is it. I looked around and find out it’s on my right. A person was riding a bike, and she seems that she doesn’t know how! Think, think, think! What can I do? The magic snow globe? I can’t even control it. Think fast, Ember, think fast! The weather suddenly changed to rain and then to draught and then to Hail. It keeps switching to another and the end… sleet. Oh no, it’s more slippery now! come on now, Ember. Control it, control it! The weather changed again and this time is thundersnow. The snow covers up the ground very quickly and now the snow is like 8 inches tall. The girl on the bike fall and struggle up in the snow. I still fail, I didn’t save the girl. She probably likes to have so many scars right now.
Well, I have to practice. It’s not like I know it today and I can control it today. Now that she fell right in front of us. I can see her more clearly now. she has gradient purple to blue hair, she must have dyed it that color. She has those beautiful green eyes. I don’t see green eyes people that often. I let out a quiet nervous laugh and walk to say hi to the girl: “Hi, are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m totally fine. The snow is deep. It didn’t even hurt.”
“Really! I thought you are like to have so many scars.” I immediately lightened up after I realized the snow saved her.
“By the way, I’m Sophia Canmore and I’m 12.”
“I’m Ember Yearwood, and this is Mia Bandini. And We are 12 too!” A new friend? This is great!
“Okay, but since no one’s talking about it, I’m just gonna say. What the hell happened back there! The weather’s changing so fast! It’s like magic!” Sophia blurted. Oops, I forgot about my power! What am I going to say? I turned around to look at Mia. Mia realized I was looking at her using a helping look and she just looked elsewhere like I was not there. “It did? I-I didn’t see it,” I lied, I give Mia a sharp look and finally she came.
“We didn’t see you around, where did you come from?” Mia was trying to change the subject. “I and my family just moved here. That’s why,” Sophia explained. If she was not around, then we didn’t play the game with her. Then that means she could be the- “I think we should try it. Do you know? The game?” I hinted.
“Ah, yes. We should.”
Then we both looked at Sophia, who was like I expected-all blank.
“Sorry, but what are you saying?”
“We want to play a little game with you,” I smiled. “It’s a connect the second line game. You just have to connect the sentence we’re saying,” I paused, “If you know the second line.”
“Well, sure. I’ll play it.”
“The sentence we’re saying is,” I looked at Mia and we both said: “There are two others out there.”

“Sorry, but what?” Sophia said, then she thinks a moment, “Um, I think I d-don’t know.” We looked at her in sadness. “This is going to take some time, but we’ll find it,” I whispered to Mia. Sophia looked at us and said: “Why are you all seems sad?”
“Well, we are trying to find someone using this game.” Sophia looks thoughtful for a second and said: “Sorry, but I need to home.” Then she left slowly. When she is completely gone from our sight. We looked at each other and high-five.
“Did you see that,” Mia chortled excitedly, “She’s so the third person?” “She’s so bad at lying! Now that she felt regret by making us sad, she’ll probably tell us the truth tomorrow,” I cheered, “And to make this day go faster, I think we need to go home and sleep a good night. You’ll tell Mrs. Bandini I’m going home, will you?” Mia nodded eagerly. Then I happily skipped home.
