Chapter 3...A New Day
Chapter 4
Today is January 20, it’s been 4 days since we found Mia. But we still don’t have a clue on where the third person might be. Although we’ve been searching every day since. My parent has noticed I keep going out, I answer them I was hanging out with my friends. They were so happy about it; I finally am hanging out!
Oh, and did I mentioned that our neighbor class has a new student now. her name is Addison Tingle, 14 years old. She wears rich-looking cloth every day and was quite pretty but definitely not better than Mia. She only came the day before yesterday and she’s already quite popular. But I don’t like her, why? Because I saw her bullying student, and that is not okay to me. I’ve been bullied once; it doesn’t feel good. And she always wears a Musgravite necklace, she said that it cost more than 60,000. I researched that, what she said was true. One carat cost 35,000, she has 2 carats! She’s rich! No more talking, on to the story!
“Ting!!!” the clock rang loudly. “Ahh!” I screamed. What perfect timing! I was just having a nightmare! Good lord! The clock saved me. I got up sleepily and went to brush my teeth. This time my parent didn’t go to work early. “Hello! Hello!” I greet my parent; they didn’t answer so I just keep going to the restroom. Minutes later, I was all pack up and ready for school. I pet Bobble and got out with my grandpa. The school was crowded with people when we arrived. “Bye! Grandpa,” I said to him.
“Hey! I’m here,” I heard someone say, I look around, it was just Mia. “Hey…” I replied quietly.
“Why so shy?”
“I am shy”
“But we were just laughing together yesterday?”
“I guess I don’t want to smile in front of people that are not my friend,” I replied shyly. Then I just went to my class without saying goodbye.
The first class is Art, one of my favorites. Students were chattering in the classroom while I just sit and wait for class to start. I know there’s a big difference between me in school and me at home. I’m like this as far as I can tell, so I don’t have a friend. The chattering suddenly stopped. I know it’s because the teacher came in. “Alright, students. Take out your brushes because we’ll be doing a project today!” Mr. Archer declared, “You’ll be drawing space! Draw all the planet you know, and don’t forget to keep yourself cleaned. And the best of all, you get to choose a partner but only one. The finishing date is by January 25. Now off you go! Choose a partner.” Usually, on this kind of part, I just wait for someone, or in the end, I’ll just partner up with someone that’s also left out. Sometimes I even get to be with Mr. Archer. But since I have friends now, I’ll just go find Mia.
“Hey…Mia,” I said. “Hey! Ember! Are you here to ask me to be your partner? Sure, I’ll be with-….” “Sorry, but she’s already my partner.” I looked to see Addison holding Mia’s hand. “What the hell, Addy!” Mia dragged her hand back and hide it in her pocket.
“Addy?”
“Oh, I and Addison are friends now.”
“Friends? But she’s a Bul-Are you two really partners?” Oh! That’s close. If I said that, I’ll be bullied too! “No! we’re not partners, Addy just sudden-Oh, actually I am with Addy,” I was confused, she just suddenly changed the word. But it doesn’t matter, I just have to partner up with the last I guess. I was going to turn around when I noticed a hand was on my shoulder. I just jumped, it would be embarrassing if I screamed. I still fell through. “Who is it!?” I squeaked, then I find out it’s just Liam Husher.
He’s from Japan, a transfer student. Blonde hair, blue eyes, light skin. He’s also a 14 student. We know each other, and I hate him. Why? Maybe because one day I was walking around in recess, a ball hit me, and found out it was because of him? I wasn’t a mean student, so I forgave him easily. But he keeps talking to me in class, making both of us into detention. “Oh, hi?” I said after I got up, he didn’t say anything…he just left. What a weirdo, guess I have to partner up with Mr. Archer then. I skipped happily toward Mr. Archer. “Mr. Archer? I can’t find a partner. can you partner with me?” Mr. Archer put a working paper away and spoke loudly: “Is anyone still doesn’t have a partner? Oh right! I still can partner up with a student that’s also left out. Oh, please be a girl, please be a girl. A girl that I don’t know raised her hand. Yes! “Um, what’s your name,” Mr. Archer asked. “Linda, Linda Fortuna,” Linda answered. “Okay, Linda. You may partner up with Ember.” I sit back on my seat, and Linda came to sit with me.
“Now that every one of you is partner up, you may start.” The classroom exploded into chattering, all of them was talking about each other’s thought. “I thought you were familiar! You were the girl yelling at Mia about a snow globe that is following you!” Linda suddenly realized. Oh, this is not good…at all. She knows me, and she knows about the magic snow` globe! “you were a lot of lot different in school,” she continued. How can I explain this! “Well, I see no need to act in front of a person who knows what I’m really like. So can we draw now?” I signed. She nodded slowly. The rest of the class was nothing interesting, we just drew and talked.
When I’m on my bed thinking about how my life would be with magic, I remembered the troubled Star mentioned about, what would it be? Is it really that big? All the question filled in my head seems to be the first time I think about something that deeply. And soon I was fast asleep.
