Not your child
Chapter 1
At the age of five, I mourned for a mother and father I had never known. At nine I saw that people had siblings and I understood that I had none. What I didn’t understand was why. I knew my uncle had chosen to look after me but I didn’t know why he had no family of his own. He told me he had loved a woman but she had died a long time ago. I asked if he still loved her. He replied that he did.
When I was twelve, I met Harry Potter. He was the son of the Lily that he loved. He looked just like his father James Potter. Now that I am older, I can tell you. I have a feeling that Severus may have thought that Harry Potter was his son. A son between himself and Lily Potter. When he arrived at Hogwarts however, it was clear. This boy had the same hair, same glasses and same look as James Potter, well except the eyes. Those were just like Lily’s. I guess when he was a baby, they would never have known but now it was easy to see there was no relation.
When I grew up and took custody of Delphi it was difficult for Charlie and I to keep telling people that she was my sister not our daughter. They thought we must have been very young to have her, that must be why we are together. It made like difficult sometimes, but people we knew believed us, understood us.
I have given birth to three children only two of them were mine, and yet I still feel responsible for one. I am responsible and yet they say he is not my child. In an alternate world I have given birth to three other children, I suppose my score is counting up and in total we could make it a round seven.
In the worlds in which I am married to Charlie Weasley, my children are Severina and Bertie Weasley, however I have been through the looking glass to where I am married to Cedric Diggory. Our children are older than the ones we have now. I don’t even know if they are actually his children. There is even a possibility that he knows one, two or all three are not his children. When I was there, I had the sense that one of us, maybe both of us were in relationships with other people. Could it be that his children are with someone like Cho Chang? And mine with a Weasley, or someone that my father made me have a relationship with? Not understanding that world it is hard to predict a future. I wish I did. I wish I could understand.
