Lousy Friends
Chapter 8
James Potter was still angry at Lily Evans for what she had said to him on the train. Lily Evans was still trying to figure out what the three Slytherins had been up to. Severus Snape was still trying to keep Lily safe as he tried to win her back. And Flitwick was still wondering what the five students had been up to that night.
"I hate Charms," Mary sighed.
"Charms is easy," Lily said.
"Not for me. I'm not smart like you," Mary said.
"I'm smarter than Lily!" Alice exclaimed.
"Keep telling yourself that Alice," Marlene said.
"I am honestly so offended," Alice said.
"Kidding,kidding," Marlene laughed.
"Hello Love," Sirius said as he took a sit on the couch beside Marlene.
"Hi Sirius," Marlene smiled slightly.
"Hey Black, who's smarter. Me or Lily?" Alice asked.
"Sorry Bird but I'm going with Evans," Sirius said.
"Something is wrong with the universe," Alice mumbled, collecting her homework. "I'm going to bed. Night."
"It's only eight and it's the weekend. Learn to live a little," Sirius called after her.
"Whatever," Alice said.
"Wanna hang out tonight?" Sirius turned to Marlene, grinning.
"I have a lot of homework," Marlene said.
"Who cares about homework. You're going to pass Charms. Let's have a little fun," Sirius smiled at her.
"Fine."
"Lovely. Meet you in an hour by the Charms classroom."
"Okay," Marlene nodded.
Sirius sent her one last smile before he rejoined his friends.
"I have to go get ready. See you guys later," Marlene raced up the stairs to the girl's dormitory.
Lily sighed and smiled at Mary. "Looks like it's just you and me."
"Nope. Just you. I have a date," Mary said, throwing down her text book and stretching.
"With who?" Lily asked.
"Aaron Sigala," Mary replied.
"Isn't he in Slytherin?" Lily asked.
"Not all Slytherins are bad," Mary rolled her eyes.
"I never said that," Lily said.
"Whatever. See you later Lily," Mary smiled at her friend and exited the Common Room.
"What lousy friends I have," Lily mumbled, returning to her Charms homework.
