The Umbridge

Chapter 1
The first time I had come to know Dolores Umbridge I was it was my sixth year of Hogwarts. She started out as the Defence against the Dark Arts teacher, although I really didn’t learn much from her. Before being appointed in turned out that she had worked as Senior Undersecretary to the Minister Cornelius Fudge. She was then made High Inquisitor, which put the McGonagall amongst the Owls if you will. She was “forcibly taken from her previous employment due to language and medieval teaching habits”.

I didn’t see her again for a good-few-years, when I was an Auror and she was arrested for crimes against muggle-borns after the Battle of Hogwarts. There were then many, many people that it was easy to call apon and ask them to testify against her and all were willing to do it. Smirking, snearing grinning. Everyone wanted a piece of her. Some sort of payback. Some-time in Azkaban.

As I saw Umbridge coming towards me I felt sick. She was the headmistress, a person of power. She looked older and annoyingly prim and proper as always. She could have been wearing a crown for all the good it did. Her toad like mouth pursed and her hair neat and tidy. All but the small grey fleck that curled down. If I could have killed her there and then I would have done.

I had been tortured by this woman and surely countless others had been in the same way. I had sent her to Azkaban for her crimes. And now I was seeing her in front of me as a happy person. I cannot tell you how much this irritated me. It was going to be something on my check list.

1) Make sure Umbridge is back in prison when the world is right.
