Chapter 2: Jack, Sally, Zero, And Some Bad Guys
Chapter 2
The tall skeleton was examining each and every ornament, candy cane, and string of tinsel on the seemingly shining tree, humming "What's This?". All Hazel could do was hold her breath, and hope she could go back to bed, wake up, and realize this was all just a dream. But it seemed so real. Backing up slowly, and almost tripping on every stair in the process, Hazel just about managed to get back to the dorm. Almost.
She felt sudden chill through her body, and didn't need to turn around to see why. She had backed up directly through Zero, Jack's ghost dog and comrade. Now this set her off, but her scream was small and short-lived, so it didn't wake the other Gryffindors. But it wasn't quiet enough to not get Jack's sudden attention.
His hollow gaze turned directly towards the staircase that Hazel was standing on, and both of them, the human and the skeleton, had what seemed like a staring contest going on, but what, to Hazel, was more like a stare-off. She didn't even notice Sally, Jack's special someone, come into view from behind the tree.
Leaning to the side of Jack's skull, Sally whispered, "Jack... She's scared." Noticing the ghostly look on Hazel's face, Jack introduced himself. "Oh! Um... Hello! I'm Jack Skellington and this is my friend, Sally. Also, where are we?"

After introductions, and Hazel getting over herself (now she was excited), the trio sat on the cushy armchairs in front of the fire, Hazel telling them about Hogwarts, and Jack and Sally telling her about Halloween Town, and how they got there.
"So... You're saying the poem is like a spell? That summons you as close as you can to the caster?" Hazel asked, curious as to how a simple poem could cause such amazing things to happen. Jack gladly replied, "Exactly, but it only works for a Witch or Wizard around Halloween or Christmastime."
The final question asked that night came quick and suddenly, leaving worried glances across Jack and Sally's faces. "If you guys are here... What about Boogie's Boys and Oogie Boogie himself?" the couple didn't answer.
They never did.
